This appealing, city centre apartment is located in a building constructed in 1888 and is just a few metres from the beautiful River Ness. Located on the top floor of one of Inverness’ historic townhouses, this unique property has views of the river and a thriving local environment. It is accessed via stairs up to a landing with a private entrance into the apartment and a small hallway.
The living room is full of features and interesting shapes, with a gable window overlooking the city and its buildings. With a view of the river and the Ness Bridge, the window offers an excellent space for people watching and to enjoy the activity around this vibrant part of Inverness.
The kitchen has coombed ceilings, a deep-set gabled window and a delightful layout. This unique and attractive room is arranged in a U-shape with a small breakfast island set away from the main preparation area. The surprising number of wall and floor cabinets are in contemporary glossy dark grey, topped with a wooden work surface. The kitchen is well laid out and allows a great deal of space for cooking and eating, even with the addition of extra furniture.
The bedroom is generously sized and has a pretty bay with a dormer window. The sloping ceilings and interesting floorplan creates an interesting and attractive bedroom. Next to the bedroom is a fully tiled shower room which is spacious and has a glass shower enclosure, a white WC and handbasin and tiled floor and walls.
Flat 3, 11 Young Street, is a delightful property full of character and charm and has many attractive features, such as deep dormer windows, coombed ceilings and a fascinating historic exterior. The apartment has been decorated with care throughout. However, there is a great deal of scope for the new owner to explore their own ideas to create a new, contemporary aesthetic that further emphasises the unique details.
With a great location and in such a lovely old building, this property is perfect for a person or couple looking for a city centre base or someone with an eye for developing the apartment as an investment.
