Appealing end terrace bungalow on corner site in popular residential area
This lovely property is situated in an open setting on the corner of a grass-verged street in the popular town of Alness.
Constructed in 1967, the bungalow will benefit from decorative repair and modernisation but is in good general condition for its age. At approximately 56 m2, this one-bedroom house will make a fabulous home for a single person or a couple, especially if looking for their first foothold on the property ladder.
Accessed via a ramp of shallow steps, the front door opens directly into a hallway that is decorated in pink. The generously proportioned living room is also pink and has a large window overlooking the pretty cottage garden. The living room has a higher-than-average ceiling and features a chimney breast and fireplace. This will make an attractive space for relaxing and entertainment and will also allow space for a small dining table and chairs.
The kitchen has plenty of wall and floor cabinets, which are white with a wood trim. There is also a full-length storage cupboard. The kitchen has the potential to upgrade to a new layout and stylings, but its footprint will allow for many options to suit the new owner. Access to the garden can be reached via a small rear vestibule.
The bedroom is near the property entrance and offers a good amount of space for furnishings, and also has built-in storage. Overlooking the front of the house, the bedroom benefits from a west-facing aspect.
The shower room is tiled in white and painted blue. There is an accessible electric shower, WC, and wash hand basin. A large, obscure glass window fills the space with natural light.
Outside is a charming cottage garden filled with mature shrubs, roses, and a flagstone path. There is also a gate to the street and is enclosed in brick and stone walls. The garden is pretty and has been heavily planted. There is an area of ground in the middle of the garden that offers itself for redesigning to create an attractive modern setting that could easily incorporate raised beds and borders for flowers, fruit and vegetables.
34 Kendal Cresent is a lovely small property which holds a great deal of potential for someone looking for their first home, especially if they are also looking for a renovation project to work on.
About Alness
Alness is a town in the Highland Council area of Scotland and is situated on the beautiful Cromarty Firth. With a population of around 5,000 people and 46 km north of Inverness and just 16 km south of Dingwall, this small settlement is a popular commuting town and a strong community, giving the best of both worlds.
The town is also home to several shops, restaurants, and pubs. It is a popular tourist destination, with attractions such as the Black Isle, the Fearn Peninsula, and some magnificent HIghland landscapes on the doorstep. With a strong agricultural focus and an emerging entrerpreunrial spirit, Alness has a fabulous blend of the old and the new.
