Beautifully presented three-bedroom detached home; fabulous residential setting
Close to some of Inverness’ largest employers and technology areas, including two major hospitals, Police Scotland and Inverness Campus, and within the catchment area for Millburn Academy, 6 Dellness Road is a conveniently located and stylish family home.
Constructed in 2000, it is exceptionally well-decorated and meticulously maintained throughout, with a modern and open-feeling layout. At 77 m2, there is plenty of room, with added benefits of good design and decorative features.
The house is on a quiet road, and the front has a tarmac drive leading to the single garage, lawn and paved areas. The covered entrance is attractively finished, giving considerable kerbside appeal.
The living room is finished in deep blue on two walls, complementing the stone fireplace and living flame gas fire well. Unique decorative cornicing and a flat arch offset the tall casement windows, creating a feel of elegance and a pleasing aesthetic.
The kitchen is arranged on three sides, and cabinets with wooden doors, a dark worksurface, and white tiles create a clean-lined, modern-looking kitchen. The contemporary black extractor hood and stainless-steel sink emphasise this. Behind the kitchen is a back door and a cloakroom with a white WC, wash hand basin, ladder towel rail, and areas of stylish black tiling.
A dining area with a warming red wall sits conveniently between the living room and kitchen, with a patio door leading to the garden.
All three bedrooms are on the first floor; the principal room is finished with strikingly modern grey wallpaper, with the long lines of the floor space creating plenty of room for wardrobes, dressing and occasional furniture. This room benefits from a fabulous en-suite. Finished in dark grey and white, with a large window, this room is light-filled and stylish. There is room for storage, and with its vanity unit and inset handbasin, a walk-in shower enclosure and ladder towel rail, it is both practical and elegant.
The second bedroom has an obscure glass double built-in wardrobe and a feature wall finished with contemporary grey textured wallpaper. With a deep alcove, two large casement windows, and a dark grey vertical radiator, this is a striking space and offers an excellent room for a teenager or guests.
The smallest of the bedrooms is painted all white; it is also generous and would create a great room for a young child or as a space for home-working. All three rooms are carpeted in Cream
The family shower room is finished with marble effect panels and has a large walk-in shower with a rain head, vanity unit with vessel basin, and WC.
The south-east facing garden is timber-fenced and laid with lawn; a covered pergola adds an attractive space for entertaining, with paving and fenced spaces providing hard surfaces for patio furniture, planting and seating, and practical storage areas.
Being in such a good location and featuring some unique and exciting details, and with such a well-kept and beautifully designed interior, 6 Dellness Road is a superb family home that is a pleasure to include.
