Enjoying a central position in the former Royal Burgh of Inverkeithing and lying near the Firth of Forth, this sumptuous property is just a short commute from Edinburgh. Constructed in approximately 1910 the property occupies the first and second floors, 7 King Street is immaculately presented and benefits from large bedrooms and a pleasant rear garden. The property is located on a wide street and is accessed by a flight of stone stairs, its elevated position makes the most of the spectacular views of the Forth and surrounding area. Decorated in predominately light grey and white, the interior is beautifully finished, creating a tasteful and elegant home for a couple or family. Its outstanding value also makes it an ideal first purchase. The living room is invitingly picturesque, stylish decor complements details such as coving, alcoves and the white mantelpiece. White half-glazed doors add to the high-end aesthetic. A U-shaped arrangement of cabinetry in the kitchen creates a feeling of practicality, and grey worktops and cream tiles extend into the deep window, capturing the sense of space and wooden cabinet doors lend additional warmth. This very comfortable and striking kitchen has been well designed to maximise the space to create a delightfully uncluttered contemporary setting.
The first-floor bedrooms are finished with grey carpet, with bay windows providing plenty of light and great views. Either of these rooms could serve as a very comfortable home office. One has a built-in shelved cupboard, the other a shelved alcove. The first-floor bathroom continues with the grey decor, creating an elegant space complemented by elements of contrasting tiles. The bath has a shower over it, a WC and a pedestal basin. A stunning open-tread timber staircase leads to the second floor with plentiful windows and skylights that get the best of the fabulous views. The two second-floor bedrooms are delightful, with coombed ceilings and interesting architectural details that lend real character. A large shower room has a striking grey and white floor and plenty of space. There is a shower enclosure, WC and pedestal basin. A deep shelf offers a place for decor and storage, and the skylight creates a lot of natural light. 7 King Street is a real winner and with its incredible looks, great condition and proximity to one of the UK’s most iconic cities, it is a very worthy addition to Hamish Homes’ portfolio and early viewing is advised.
