This is bright and welcoming mid terraced home, is set back from the road behind a long front garden that immediately gives a sense of space and separation. Positioned just a short distance north of Fort Augustus village centre, the house enjoys generous rooms and outdoor space that’s easy to imagine making your own.
The entrance vestibule leads into a clean, light hallway that sets the tone for the rest of the home. White painted walls and white internal doors create a fresh first impression, while grey wood effect laminate flooring runs underfoot. The staircase sits to the right, finished with a thick dark grey carpet. Straight ahead is a door that opens through to the kitchen.
The kitchen is fitted with light cream traditional cabinets paired with white acrylic worktops, giving the room a calm feel. There is space and plumbing beneath the counters for laundry appliances, with a stainless steel sink positioned below the window looking into the rear garden. The kitchen is fitted with an integrated oven which sits below an induction hob that’s set into the worktop above. The room is painted in a light cream colour with large white tiles around the worktop areas, keeping the space practical and easy to maintain.
The sitting and dining area is a good sized room that works well for everyday family living. Clean white walls continue through from the hall, with light grey laminate wood effect flooring underfoot. Windows at either end of the room allow natural light to move through the space, while there is plenty of room for a sofa suite and television setup as well as a dining table and chairs. Radiators are positioned to keep the room warm and comfortable.
Upstairs, the landing continues the bright feel, with white walls and a grey tartan pattern carpet, which leads to three bedrooms and the shower room.
The first bedroom is a comfortable double room with white walls and space for a large bed along with additional bedroom furniture. It’s a simple room that’s easy to arrange to suit individual needs. The second bedroom is also a double room, finished with neutral white walls and the same grey tartan style carpet. A large window brings in plenty of natural light, with a radiator positioned below to keep the room warm. The third bedroom is slightly smaller but still offers space for a double bed. Decorated in the same clean white tones with matching grey tartan carpet, it works well as a bedroom, guest room or perhaps as a home office.
The shower room has been finished with practicality in mind, with the walls mostly lined in wetwall panelling, making it easy to maintain and clean. There’s a large shower cubicle fitted with a mixer shower and a large rainfall shower head for a luxury experience. A white pedestal sink and white toilet sit either side of a chrome towel radiator while a large frosted window allows natural light in while maintaining privacy.
Outside, the rear garden is mainly laid with grass and enclosed by tall timber fencing, giving a good level of privacy. There is plenty of space for outdoor seating and scope to add a garden shed or summerhouse to suit your lifestyle.
Heating to the home is provided by an oil fired Vortex outdoor condensing combi boiler, supplying radiators throughout the home – the oil tank is located within the rear garden. The property also benefits from PVC double glazed replacement windows and doors.
This is a move-in ready family home with a bright interior, generous garden space and a convenient Fort Augustus location. It offers comfortable living with plenty of scope to personalise over time, and is well worth viewing in person to appreciate the space and setting on offer.
