Generously sized and elegantly decorated, 32 Woodside Drive Farm is a beautiful, expansive family home in a highly desirable area of Inverness. Located east of the city centre and within walking distance of Culloden, this large house has five bedrooms and three living spaces and is very well suited to family life and entertainment.
Constructed in 2005, the property’s interior is 202 m2 and is heated by gas central heating. It has an above-average EPC rating of C.
The house is accessed by a large tarmac drive that is finished with a lawn. A set of steps opens into a large entrance hallway with natural wood doors and joinery and a fabulous timber staircase.
The spacious living room extends across the depth of the house and features windows to the front, a large patio door to the rear, and a southeast-facing garden. The room is decorated in two grey tones, giving it a sophisticated and elegant look. The papered feature wall has a decorative black mantelpiece.
The dining kitchen blends dark-toned wooden cabinets and pale grey and white checkerboard tiling to create a sophisticated, contemporary look. There is also a white range oven with eight gas burners, large enough to feed several family members and guests. The black granite worktop culminates in an island and breakfast bar. A large galley layout utility room with access to a small yard and shed sits behind the kitchen. The spacious dining area opens into a light-filled sunroom painted pale grey, which overlooks the garden from three sides.
The ground-floor bedroom is at the front of the house and is spacious and airy. It is a good place for a home office or a craft space. A further room is at the rear of the house that is painted grey with a stylish graphite-coloured door. Its position in the house makes it ideal as either a more formal dining room or guest bedroom.
The cloakroom has a white WC and wash hand basin, and the wall is painted in a bold but elegant floral pattern.
Refined and dramatic, the carpeted staircase sweeps up to the four first-floor bedrooms and large landing. The principal bedroom is grey, with beautiful dark grey damask paper on the feature wall, giving the room a sense of elegance and drama. The ensuite is particularly attractive, with a striking free-standing bath with a glossy black exterior, contemporary hand-held shower, monobloc tap, black and grey-lined shower enclosure, and white WC and wash hand basin.
There are three further bedrooms with attractive proportions and characterful coombed ceilings; these rooms are all well decorated with modern grey doors; one is pink, one is grey with a built-in cupboard, and the third room has been papered with a rose motif.
The family bathroom is finished in grey and white. It has a bath with a glossy grey splash area, a separate shower enclosure, a WC, and a wash hand basin.
In the garden, a decked area is reached from the sunroom, and a paved patio is close to the house. The garden is finished with a lawn and is enclosed with timber fencing. The single garage can be accessed from the garden, and a storage area and shed are fenced off and reached from the utility room.
This lovely house benefits from a fabulous location and peaceful setting. Its large and varied rooms and stylish interior make this a beautiful and comfortable family home, especially for those who love to receive guests and it is expected to be popular.
