Situated on a slightly elevated area surrounded by crofts and fields, Tigh Na Furan has absolutely stunning views of Loch Gairloch and beyond, and its west-facing outlook ensures the property benefits from the glorious, world-class sunsets.
With an internal space of 171 m2 spread amongst rooms with elegant proportions and positioned to make the most of the fabulous views, the house makes the absolute best of an exceptional location.
Constructed in 1984, the house is set on a hard standing encircled by grass. A large drive and parking area lead to the house, which is accessed straight into a spacious kitchen. The double-aspect kitchen has floor, wall, and full-height cabinets on three sides, with an island in the middle. It offers a fantastic opportunity to further enhance the space into a stunning contemporary room.
A flat arch opens into a large open-plan dining and living room. This area is exceptional, with large windows overlooking Loch Gairloch and Longa Island, and patio doors opening onto a large wooden deck that wraps around two sides of the house. A cast iron stove is set into a deep chimney breast, and the wooden floors and natural timber doors give the room a welcoming aesthetic.
A boldly painted hallway creates a cheerful ambience and leads to a family room that offers a fabulous space to create a home office or private retreat. With appropriate permissions, there is enormous potential to open up this space to create a larger open-plann living area that incorporates the staircase and large patio doors in the hallway.
The ground floor also has a large bedroom with space for a double bed and plenty of free-standing furniture. This is conveniently located close to the family bathroom which is painted in a playful red, with a black tiled floor. The bathroom has a large bath, shower enclosure, a WC, and a wall-hung wash hand basin.
A striking open-tread staircase leads to the first floor, where four further bedrooms are located. All have plentiful natural light and slightly coombed ceilings that lend additional charm. The principal bedroom has an ensuite shower room finished with blue tiles.
The family bathroom is painted grey and has a white bath with a shower over it, a WC, and a wash hand basin.
The garden can be accessed from several areas, but the kitchen opens into a small gravel courtyard. On the opposite side of this space is a single garage that has been extended at one end to include a living area that contains kitchen cabinets, plumbing, and a hob.
Tigh Na Furan is an incredible property that offers a fabulous opportunity to upgrade to an outstanding contemporary home that is comfortable enough for a large or multi-generational family, but also with plenty of space for guests.
Given its exceptional location and beautiful outlook, this is expected to be a very popular addition to Hamish Homes’ portfolio, and early viewing is recommended.
