Located on the edge of Grantown-on-Spey, 28 Castle Road East is a good sized first-floor flat with two double bedrooms, a generous lounge and a versatile attic space. With open outlooks over surrounding woodland, this offers both comfort and character in a well-established residential area.
Entry to the home is through a private ground floor front door and staircase, with cream walls, a wooden handrail and rich blue carpet that leads up to the main accommodation on the first floor.
At the centre of the home is the lounge, a bright, welcoming space with wooden flooring, cream walls and a bright window with a radiator beneath. Two alcoves provide built-in storage, one with a cupboard and shelving, the other with a TV unit in place. Wall-mounted lights bring a decorative touch and an electric fire adds warmth and atmosphere.
The kitchen, accessed directly off the lounge, is fitted with a range of light-coloured floor and wall-mounted cabinets with wooden trim and chrome handles. The worktops are finished in light grey acrylic and a stainless steel sink sits beneath a small window. A built-in oven and electric hob are fitted while neutral cream walls with light tiling around the preparation areas, completes the space.
There are two double bedrooms, both with a slightly irregular shape that gives them a more interesting, characterful layout. One is finished with blue carpet and cream walls, while the other features light brown carpet with similar neutral tones. Both rooms offer plenty of space for a double bed and furniture, along with radiators to keep things warm.
The shower room is smartly finished with sparkle-effect wetwall panelling around the cubicle and sink area. Inside the enclosure is a Triton T80 Easyfit Plus electric shower, with a chrome towel radiator found opposite. A wall-mounted mirrored cabinet provides storage above the sink and a small window adds natural light. The floor is finished in a soft cream tone.
A staircase leads up to the attic floor, where the blue carpet continues into a generous room with sloped ceilings, a good size radiator and a built-in cupboard. With neutral walls and plenty of space, it offers excellent potential as a home office, hobby area or simply additional storage.
Heating is provided by a Grant Combi 90 V3 oil boiler, located in the kitchen, which supplies a series of water-filled radiators and hot water on demand. Windows and doors throughout are uPVC double glazed and battery-operated smoke alarms are in place in the landing and sitting room.
To the rear, the garden grounds are communal and mainly laid to grass, with a paved pathway leading from the pavement to the flat’s private entrance.
Well located for access to Grantown’s amenities and within commuting distance to both Aviemore and Inverness, this is a flexible and appealing property in a peaceful residential setting. Contact Hamish Homes today to arrange a viewing or request more information.
