As an ideal first home, 58 Bught Drive offers many advantages. First is its location just outside the centre of Inverness; Bught Drive is next to Bught Park, the largest green space in the area, and only metres from Inverness Leisure, the biggest sports and fitness centre in the Highlands.
The property is on the first floor of a three-storey block consisting of six flats. On entering 58 Bught Drive, there is an obvious amount of natural light, which gives the rooms a sense of spaciousness. The living room is very generously proportioned and has an attractive mantelpiece as well as a dado rail, each lending a sophisticated touch to the room. A large window gives a great view of the park and surrounding properties.
Its L-shaped kitchen is characterful with a good amount of work surface and plenty of room for appliances. The kitchen is suitable for a number of alternative layouts should the new owner consider upgrading the cabinets and appliances. From the kitchen, there is another good view across to Tomnahurich Hill.
The flat has two bedrooms; the larger has built-in storage and plenty of room for furnishings. The smaller room would make a good space for a child, or a nicely laid out home office. A compact bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a WC and wash hand basin.
There is unrestricted parking within 25 metres, and a small area of grass to the front of the building.
Decorated throughout in soft colours, and featuring timber doors, 58 Bught Drive is pleasantly decorated but would benefit from some attention. The new owners also have plenty of scope to renovate the kitchen and bathroom with appropriate permissions.
Careful decoration, simple furnishings, and the use of light colours will create an attractive modern looking apartment close to some fabulous sports and leisure facilities and only a short walk from one of the most beautiful sections of river in the UK.
58 Bught Drive could offer an important initial step onto the property ladder, with the benefit of an affordable and comfortable first home close to excellent nearby services, and proximity to the Centre of Inverness.
About Inverness
Inverness is a beautiful city on the mouth of the River Ness. Surrounded by hills, it offers stunning views of mountains and historical architecture. The University of the Highlands and Islands, Inverness campus, which opened in 2015, is set to ensure that the city has the talent required to serve the needs of the Highlands for many years to come. The city annually plays host to the Baxter’s Loch Ness Marathon and the Inverness Half Marathon & 5k. There are excellent sports facilities in the city, including the Inverness Ice Centre, Highland Rugby Club, Inverness Harriers Amateur Athletics Club, hosted by Inverness Leisure which also offers a sports club, gym and swimming pool complex. Other outdoor pursuits such as cycling, horse riding, kayaking, sailing and hiking are also well catered for. There are two cinemas and the Eden Court Theatre offers an excellent choice of drama, comedy and a variety of other shows, arts and crafts. Inverness is the capital of the Highlands and has experienced continued growth over many years. A vibrant northern city, with lots of inward investment and excellent job prospects. The upgrading of the A9 between Perth and Inverness and the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen to dual carriageway, is set to see further room for development in the years ahead.
