Property Description

15 Barnview is a four bedroom detached bungalow in Culloden, with a great amount of space inside and out. The four bedrooms include a particularly large master with its own en-suite, while the detached garage, driveway and generous garden give you plenty of benefits outside too. It would suit a family wanting more room, a couple looking to spread out or anyone looking for a bungalow with good storage and a garden they can really enjoy.
Inside, the living room has a traditional feel to it, with the large stone fireplace immediately setting the tone. Its broad stone surround has matching stone sections to either side with timber tops that tie in nicely with the woodwork elsewhere in the room. Cream walls and a light grey carpet keep everything cosy, while the wide window across the far wall looks out towards the garden. Glazed timber doors add another bit of warmth and character, and the decorative ceiling light finishes off a room that feels homely and very easy to spend time in.
The kitchen diner has been given a much sharper, more contemporary finish, with glossy white cabinets running around the room and dark worktops providing a strong contrast. Reflective grey splashbacks sit behind the work surfaces, with lighting beneath the wall cabinets picking up the shine nicely. The sink sits below the window, while the built-in double ovens are set together within a tall cabinet on the opposite side. At the other end, the room opens into a dining area with space for a family table, while the peach wall here adds a splash of colour.
The utility room has white cabinets and long worktops, with a stainless steel sink and space for laundry appliances below. White tiles run around the lower half of the walls with a small leaf patterned border above.
The first of the four bedrooms has cream walls, a grey carpet and timber detailing around the window and doors. The real bonus here is the huge mirror fronted wardrobe, with four sliding doors and gold edging, that stretches almost the full length of one wall. This gives you an exceptional amount of built in storage.
Bedroom two is probably the most distinctive of the four bedrooms. Timber panelling runs along the lower part of one wall before rising into a large pointed feature in the centre, bringing a lot of character into the room. Two built in cupboards sit side by side on the opposite wall, so storage is well covered. The rest of the room gives you plenty of freedom to arrange the bedroom furniture as you want.
Bedroom three is another double room that has a very different look again. It has a large built-in wardrobe with two sliding doors, while a built-in timber desk and shelving unit fills a recessed section, giving the room excellent storage as well as somewhere to work or study. A patterned feature wall adds a little colour, with the broad window for natural light.
Bedroom four is the largest and most impressive of the bedrooms, with more than enough room for a large double bed and additional furniture around it. Glazed double patio doors open directly onto the garden, giving the room its own connection outside, while a pair of built-in storage cupboards ensure your clothes can be nicely tucked away. Its biggest advantage though is the en-suite, which has been fitted with light timber cabinets, drawers and worktops that frame the basin. A curved shower enclosure occupies the opposite side of the room with a Mira electric shower fitted within. White tiling and a narrow mosaic style border keep the room light, with the toilet positioned beneath the window at the far end.
The family bathroom has a full sized bath with an electric shower above and a clear screen to the side. Textured wall panels surround the shower area, with lighter tiles and a decorative border continuing around the room. The basin is built into a white vanity unit with drawers and cupboards underneath, while a tall matching cabinet adds more storage beside it.
The house has UPVC double glazed windows and glazed UPVC external doors. Heating is provided by gas, with warm air heating and panel heaters around the property. Solar panels provide an additional boost to the hot water supply.
Outside, the rear garden has a large paved patio, giving you plenty of room for outdoor seating and a table. Beyond that is a generous lawn surrounded by trees, shrubs and flowers which bring plenty of colour to the sapce. The detached single garage sits along one side of the garden, with an integral garden store built into the rear. The driveway runs alongside the house towards the garage.

What really stands out about this property is how much personality there is throughout the home. The traditional stone fireplace, modern kitchen, individual bedroom finishes and beautifully kept garden all give different parts of the home their own character. It’s the kind of property that needs to be seen properly to appreciate just how much it offers, so contact Hamish Homes to arrange your private viewing today.

About Culloden
Culloden, a historic village located just a few miles east of Inverness, is well known for the famous Battle of Culloden in 1746. The village is home to the Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre, making it a destination for history enthusiasts. Despite its historical significance, Culloden provides a peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere, ideal for those looking to settle in a quiet yet well-connected location.
The village boasts a range of local conveniences, including shops, cafes and healthcare facilities, while Inverness, just a short drive away, offers larger supermarkets, shopping centres and entertainment options. Culloden has well-regarded schools, including Culloden Academy for secondary education, and local primary schools serving younger children, making it an attractive choice for families.
Culloden enjoys excellent transport links, with regular bus services to Inverness and easy access to the A96, connecting residents to Inverness Airport and the wider region. The area also offers abundant outdoor activities, with scenic walking routes, parks and the nearby Moray Firth for coastal exploration.
With its strong sense of community, historical charm and proximity to Inverness, Culloden is a desirable location for those looking to buy property in the Highlands, offering both tranquillity and convenience for a great spot of storage. The garden is enclosed with tall timber fencing.
